The Civil Division handles cases that involve money or damage claims, as well as landlord/tenant disputes. After a fee is paid to the court, a lawsuit is initiated by a party(s) with the intent of suing another. The case is then placed on a hearing docket whereupon certain activity must occur within a prescribed time guideline. The Civil Division also processes garnishments and evictions from property.
